Call for the second round of Young Researchers Exchange Programme of the REVACERN
The Exchange programme (Work Package 8) serves as a way of involving new young researchers into the REVACERN – a method of strengthening the regional cooperation. They also give a help in the preparation of the topics – this is a local support for the consortial partners.
Applicants with a minimum of relevant social sciences or humanities masters degree can apply to the programme, whether from the consortial partner institutes or other parties. The upper age limit of the young researchers applicants is 35 years, exceptions are possible in certain cases.
Topics
The topics of the application are the same as the topics of the REVACERN. An applicant could apply for an elaboration of a whole topic, or or for some well delimited part-topic. After previous consultations with a respective consortial partner representative, one can apply with application that give help in executing the REVACERN’s deliverables (e.g.: compilation of international bibliographies, or producing materials for dissemination). The relevancy of the applied topic will be confirmed by the consortial partner. For more information about the topics and responsible persons, please contact András Máté-Tóth (E-Mail).
Application
There are no specific forms for application, please send the application to the email ep@revacern.eu
The application must contain:
- an essay about the REVACERN topics to be covered (in English, 8-10.000 characters)
- a CV and a publications list, which shows the receptivity of the topic
- a recommendation letter from any member of the consortium (preferably the one which is responsible for the actual topic – email is acceptable)
The call for the second round of the Exchange Programme is open now. The schedule is:
- application deadline 24 April 2008,
- result announcement at 30 April 2008,
- beginning of work at 1 May 2008,
- end of work 30 September 2008.
Network
The successful applicants will form a network, where they participate in the REVACERN workshops and conferences, and also in a specific young research’s conference (date and location to be specified later). The leader of the programme is András Máté-Tóth, a leader of the CEE PhD grant programme of the UV.
- The personal payment is for 5 months and it could be prolonged in autumn 2008,
- the amount is 500 € gross per month.
The successful applicants have to sign a contract with the University of Vienna (Werkvertag). The consortial partner states the place of work. The personal payment covers all their cost, including travel costs to the conference, but excluding the workshop participation.
Evaluation
The applications for each certain position will be judged at first by the according partner institution and then finally by the leader of the programme and the Scientific Board, considering the balance of resources on scientific criteria.
